Project Description:
To create a philosophy campus building it was necessary to design spaces that cater to the needs of philosophy students and faculty, while also addressing the intentions of the project, with adaptability, flexibility, and sustainability in mind. A series of electrochromic glass windows make up the south-facing end of the building, allowing the glass to adjust transparency based on the time of day and weather conditions, and creating varying perceptions of space and light. The sensory elements in the design encourage mindfulness and ethical reflection. The students of the campus can engage with their environment through, key attributes within philosophical studies. The interactive and dynamic spaces are designed to enhance their intellectual and sensory experiences.
