The brief was to design a University campus master plan on a farm site in Windermere. The programme I decided to pursue was veterinary science, as the Lake District has a rich agricultural background, and the future of the industry is declining in the UK. Opposed to the site’s history for cattle farming, this campus aims to protect animals using veterinary practice. The campus consists of a main campus building (veterinary school), two smaller buildings (welcome centre and a larger animal facility), and a retrofitted barn (re purposed as a public veterinary clinic).
